Uilliam mac Fearchair mhic Gille Aindrias (WILL-yum mak FAR-kar vik gill-ee AHN-drahs, which means "Uilliam, son of Farquahar, son of the servant of St. Andrew") was born in Balnagowan, Scotland, in the year of Our Lord 1263. He was 34, married, and had two sons when William Wallace and Andrew de Moray began the uprising that would eventually lead to Scottish independence. He joined de Moray's rebels at Avoch Castle near Inverness, and aided in the fight to take Balnagowan Castle from the Countess of Ross.
Uilliam received his Award of Arms in October of AS 29 (AD 1994). He received the Magistrae Ithra (MI) for teaching medieval board games in October AS 31 (AD 1996), and the Lions Claw (LC) for long-time service to the Barony of Lions Gate in November AS 32 (AD 1997). He was accepted into the Order of the Goute de Sang (GdS), for service to the Kingdom of An Tir, in AS 33 (AD 1998).
Uilliam currently holds the office of Baronial Minister of Games. This is the officer responsible for researching and teaching medieval games and pastimes, as well as ensuring there are games to be played at our events. He is also the Voice Heraldry deputy to Caitrina, and is the guy with the loud voice making anouncements, crying the town, and standing behind the thrones during court. Previously, he has been "Sable Loat Pursuivant", the cheif herald for the Barony of Lions Gate, and the deputy herald for the Principality of Tir Righ. He has been the Baronial herald in years prior to that, as well as a prior stint as Baronial Games Minister
